| Duties |
: |
Programmer Analyst will assist in facilitating
the development of various subsystems and
products related to Business Applications.
Programmer Analyst will also be responsible
for analyzing existing applications and
processes in order to develop enhanced user
interfaces, tools, and implement efficient
processes, as well as developing comprehensive
documentation related to their design, deployment
operations and maintenance. Furthermore,
Programmer Analyst will be required to digest
and understand functional specification
documents and convert them into technical
specifications for robust and easily maintainable
software. > Participate on project
teams, systems and data analysis, design,
development, integration,
and enhancement activities, as well as related
maintenance and production
support. > Participate in project-planning
sessions with clients, business analysts,
and team members to analyze
development requirements, provide design
recommendations for J2EE based application
development. > Work with other senior
software engineers to create and maintain
high-level software design
and technical specs. > Designing, Coding,
Testing and Implementing Java/J2EE based
software applications.
> Work with Data and Infrastructure
teams to resolve Issues on Application
performance tuning and deployment.
> Ensure smooth Quality Assurance and deployment
of applications. Work closely
with QA during various testing phases of
Application. > Plan integration and
implementation strategies.

| Qualifications |
: |
Applicants must possess the equivalent
to a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer
Science, Information Technology or in a
related field, along with a minimum of three
year's experience in creating and designing
software applications, primarily in a web-based
environment. In addition, the analyst will
have; > Advanced knowledge
of application design principles, and analysis.
> Prior experience using a
structured methodology & OOP.
> Thorough understanding of the SDLC.
> Demonstrate experience using
the programming languages, packages
and software development tools specified
> Strong verbal and written
communication skills that non-technical
end
users can understand
> The ability to create a positive and professional
business relationship
with internal and external clients
> Technical Skills: Experience
with Java, J2EE, BEA Weblogic, application
architecture, object modeling, user interface
principles and
windows design standards, thorough understanding
of relational
databases (Sybase/Oracle) and SQL.
> Experience with JBuilder,
generic frameworks (Struts) and MVC model
or concepts, deployment scripts and process,
version control
tools (VSS, Perforce, PVCS, etc.)
> Experience in Configuration Management,
including build and deploy
methodologies, ANT, and troubleshooting
> Experience with administering
multiple environments for development
and testing, while working in a complex
development environment.

The qualified candidate will be responsible
for researching, analyzing and developing
technology strategies and solutions which
align with the Business Plan and Enterprise
needs. Responsibilities will include Problem
Management and Application Support including
management of issues through the problem
management lifecycle. You will develop Business
Case during the Idea Development phase of
the Technology Project Framework, work closely
with the business customers to move projects
through analysis and approval phases and
participate in the demand management process.
This position will conduct gap analyses
leveraging internal and external best practices. |
| Qualifications |

Applicants must possess the equivalent
to a Masters degree in Computer Science (MS), or
Information Technology (MIS) or Business Administration (MBA) in a
related field, along with a minimum of three
year's experience in creating and designing
software applications. The BA/BSA would
also; > Have proven proficiency
with requirement gathering/definition.
> Be required for all levels
of testing including unit, system, regression,
and
user acceptance. > Advanced
knowledge of application design principles,
and analysis. > Prior
